The Free Study Platform Built For University Students

Studying at university is hard. Textbooks are expensive. Generic study guides don't match the way your professor actually teaches. Asking a generic AI like ChatGPT often produces confident-sounding answers that are subtly wrong — and you can't tell unless you already know the material. So you end up reading three different summaries to find the one that matches your professor's lectures, never quite sure what's real and what's hallucinated.

Libraryyy fixes this. We turn real course materials — shared by students who actually take the course — into verified, original study resources. The platform was built around one idea: the best study material for a course is built from that course's own content, reviewed by a council of expert AI teachers, and shared with every student who needs it. Free.

Step 1 — Contribute. Students upload course materials in any format: PDFs, slides, lecture notes, even handwritten photos. Anything that comes from a real course at their university.

Step 2 — Verify. Every contribution is reviewed, and our AI teachers check the study material made from it before it's published. Anything doubtful is looked at again.

Step 3 — Study. The verified content is turned into twelve different study formats: study guides, flashcards, quizzes, mock exams, podcasts, video scripts, mind maps, infographics, slide decks, data tables, reports, and interactive sections. You pick the format that fits your study style.

Studying on Libraryyy is free for university students. All study guides, all mock exams, all flashcards, all podcasts. We don't charge per course or per exam. The knowledge is open and community-driven — built by students, for students. The only things that cost money are the optional creation tools, such as making your own slide decks and videos.

We're aiming to support 10,000+ university students in the next six months and to grow into a partnership with universities directly. Free study resources for any student, at any university, in any subject.

The platform follows a contribution-based model. Students who verify their university email become Contributors and can upload materials. Professors and teachers who verify their identity become Core Contributors with priority moderation. Every published study resource is original work, created from verified contributions — Libraryyy does not host university course materials directly. This is what keeps the platform free, legal, and high-quality.

Libraryyy began with a presentation, and it was meant to stay a small personal project. The student who built it had slides to show in class, and the only way to open them on the classroom computer was to sign in to a personal Google account, Drive or WhatsApp in front of everyone, on a machine that everybody uses and that could be carrying anything. That never felt safe. So the very first thing built here was Portal: a short code that puts your file on the screen in front of you, with no sign-in.

Then came the exams. The course material was a pile of PDFs, hard to read and harder to understand, so the next thing built was a way to turn those same notes into something you can actually study from. First one kind of study material, then another, then another, each made by AI teachers and checked before it was trusted. It worked: the grades went up that same semester.

After that, every missing piece led to the next one. A calendar just for classes, kept apart from the personal one, with the kind of reminders an ordinary calendar does not have. Notes, because the good note apps cost money. Then assignments, slides and videos for the next presentation: the tools that could make them were expensive, and doing it by hand meant stitching several apps together, so that was built in too. Classmates started using it, and teachers liked what they saw.

Two semesters later the grades had gone up a lot, and friends studying in other countries were using it as well. They all said the same thing: it was never about memorising enough to pass. Every course has twelve kinds of study material and several versions of each, so when one explanation does not land there is always another way in. Read it, watch it, listen to it, flip through the cards, sit a mock exam. You understand the subject, and the grade follows.

When that first presentation was shown this way, classmates were interested, and from then on they tried every new piece and said plainly what was wrong with it. One classmate in particular was there from the very first version and gave feedback the whole way. Many friends did the same, and lately teachers at the university have too. Libraryyy is better because of every one of them.

The newest additions are Lola, a study buddy who lives inside the library, and a way to use your courses, notes and calendar from the AI you already talk to. The next step is working with universities directly.

That is the whole story: from a safe, private way to show one presentation, to a place to study, understand, plan your week and keep getting better. What started as one student's own library is now open to every student.

Libraryyy is an independent project, not a company. There is no team behind it: one student designs, builds and runs all of it, which is where the motto comes from: By A Student, For A Student.
